Before We Meet

To help you feel prepared for your Discovery Meeting, we put together three short videos you can watch ahead of time.

They’ll walk you through what to expect from our process, how our fees work, and a little more about the Riverbend team.

When you’re ready, you can also fill out our short intake form so we have a better understanding of your goals, questions, and financial situation before we meet.

A Few Helpful Videos Before We Meet

What to Expect From Our Discovery Meeting

In this video, Tyler walks through why retirement planning can feel unclear, how Riverbend helps simplify the moving pieces, and what to expect from your first conversation with our team.

There’s no pressure and nothing you need to have perfectly prepared. The goal is simply to understand your situation, answer your questions, and see whether we’re the right fit to help.

Meet the Team Behind Your Plan

In this video, Jeremy Finger shares the story behind Riverbend and introduces the team you may be working with.

You’ll learn why we take a team-based approach, how our advisors collaborate behind the scenes, and why your plan benefits from more than one perspective.

How Our Fees Work

We know fees matter. And we believe you should understand how a financial advisor is paid before you ever decide to work with them.

In this video, Jeremy explains how Riverbend approaches planning, and how our fee-only structure works.

The goal is simple: help you understand your options before the call, so our conversation can be more useful, honest, and clear.

Our Process

Discovery Call

Your first step is a casual 30-minute call where we get to know each other and see if there may be a good fit. Before the call, we’ll send you a short intake form so we can better understand your situation. You do not need to have everything perfectly organized. This call is about understanding what matters most to you, where you are today, and where there may be gaps. No decisions are made. No pressure.

Bridge Meeting

If we both feel good about moving forward, the next step is a deeper Bridge Meeting. This is where we take a closer look at your full financial picture, run the numbers, identify planning opportunities, and give you an honest look at what may need to happen to reach your goals. By the end, you should have more clarity — and you decide whether working together makes sense.

Ongoing Planning

If we’re the right fit, we build your plan and help you implement it over time. We meet regularly, adjust when life changes, and coordinate with trusted professionals like CPAs, attorneys, and insurance specialists when needed. The goal is simple: help you feel clear, confident, and supported — so nothing important falls through the cracks.

Here’s what we’re asked most often.

Am I a good fit?

We specialize in guiding retirees, widows, and business owners through major life transitions with personalized financial planning.

What are your qualifications?

Our advisors are experienced, credentialed professionals who combine technical expertise with decades of real-world financial guidance through life's biggest changes.

How do you charge?

We charge a transparent, percentage-based fee on assets under management - no hidden costs, commissions, or surprise charges.

Do you only work with clients outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina?

Absolutely! Leveraging today's technology, we've found effective ways to work around the need for in-person meetings. For instance, we utilize platforms like Zoom to hold face-to-face conferences. Not only does this allow us to maintain a personal connection, but it also enables us to share our screens. Thus, we can provide a seamless and interactive experience for you, our valued client.
