Why do we charge the way we do?  

It's one of the most honest conversations you can have with a financial advisor, so we're putting it on the table. 

A real plan isn't a document you file away — it's a moving target. The market drops, tax laws change, you sell a home, a parent needs care, or you decide to step away from work a year early. When one piece moves, it moves everything: your income, taxes, investments, and estate. 

Our Process

Start where you are.

Once you schedule your call, we'll email you a short intake form to learn where you are, where you want to go, and what's weighing on you. Then someone from our team gives you a quick call to answer any early questions, and you'll get a few notes before your meeting so you know exactly who we are, how we work, and what we charge.

Discovery Meeting

This is where your planning journey begins. We’ll take time to understand what prompted you to reach out, what decisions are in front of you, and what feels unclear — so we can determine whether there’s a real planning need, whether Riverbend is the right fit, and what the next best step should be.

Ongoing Planning

If we’re the right fit, we build your plan and help you implement it over time. We meet regularly, adjust when life changes, and coordinate with trusted professionals like CPAs, attorneys, and insurance specialists when needed. The goal is simple: help you feel clear, confident, and supported — so nothing important falls through the cracks.

We charge a transparent, percentage-based fee on assets under management - no hidden costs, commissions, or surprise charges. 

Do you only work with clients in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina?

We work with families all over the United States. Leveraging today's technology, we've found effective ways to work around the need for in-person meetings. For instance, we utilize platforms like Zoom to hold face-to-face conferences. Not only does this allow us to maintain a personal connection, but it also enables us to share our screens. Thus, we can provide a seamless and interactive experience for you, our valued client.
